Canadian Senators are Taking a Deeper Look at Soil Health

Updated: Apr 26

2023 Environmental Stewardship winners and RALL producers Doug and Tim Wray of Wray Ranch hosted the Canadian Senators’ during the Soil Health Tour and Study. The Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry’s soil study is exploring how soil contributes to our health, the environment and the economy. The senators are visiting farms in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario and speaking to experts and stakeholders across Canada to promote sustainable agricultural practices and reduce soil degradation. In this video, RALL Lead Soil Scientist, Dr. Kris Nichols, along with the senators, explore the importance of soil health on the Wray Ranch.
