Dr. Olivier LaRocque leads the socio-economic research team for the RALL. He ranched in southern Alberta from 1982 to 2000. He was a consultant in resource management in Africa, 1990 and 1994. Thereafter he did his graduate studies while doing research in Africa as well, in Tanzania and Kenya, and did his doctoral dissertation on the interface between conservation organization and ranchers in southern Alberta.
